BYK-03X 系列代表了毕克化学的矿物油消泡剂。一般来说，矿物油消泡剂主要用于亚光和半光乳胶漆和灰泥。对于高档水性工业涂料，矿物油消泡剂不是很适合，因为它们可能导致表面缺陷（油分离，光泽降低）。另外，在溶剂型体系，也不可使用此类消泡剂，因为它们会导致流平变差。
矿物油消泡剂由约85-95%的矿物油和1-3%的憎水颗粒组成。它同时也包含乳化剂、防腐剂和其它增效成分（比如改性聚硅氧烷）。脂肪族矿物油被用来作为载体油。
消泡剂中需要乳化剂，以确保矿物油中颗粒的有效分散。乳化剂也使消泡剂更容易加入到涂料配方中。由于健康保护缘由，烷基酚聚氧乙烯醚（APEO）不再允许被使用。现代矿物油消泡剂含无APEO乳化剂。
特别地，用于高光乳胶漆的高档消泡剂常含有少量的改性聚硅氧烷以提高自发的消泡效果。矿物油消泡剂是消泡剂领域中最经济的产品。
