DISPERBYK "made our dreams come true"
BYK launches the new paint additive DISPERBYK-160 on the market – and thus solves a fundamental problem that had previously caused headaches for many customers. After almost five years of research and with new analytical methods, BYK succeeds in developing DISPERBYK-160, the world's first wetting and dispersing additive for organic pigments.
Other DISPERBYK products soon follow. Customers respond enthusiastically. BYK receives an effusive fax from Iceland: "Thanks for your delivery of DISPERBYK-163. This material has made our dreams come true." At the beginning of the 1990s, the DISPERBYK family is one of the company's best-selling products.
