Viscosity Reducers
The precise adjustment of the viscosity in every single process step is essential in PVC plastisol applications. In this way, you can ensure consistent processing and consistent product quality.
This can be achieved using the “VISCOBYK” viscosity modifiers. These additives have the following effects:
1. The mixtures of aliphatic hydrocarbons or carboxylic acid derivatives are specially developed to reduce the viscosity in the liquid phase of the plastisol.
2. The special wetting and dispersing additives are adsorbed on the particle surfaces, reduce the attraction forces between the particles, and prevent re-agglomeration.
This permits an easier movement of the particles and stabilizes the viscosity and the storage behavior of the entire system.
