Wesel, February 2, 2018 – BYK, one of the world’s leading suppliers in the field of additives and measuring instruments, will raise its prices for additives by an average of 8%, effective from April 1, 2018, or as existing contracts permit.
This step is necessary to maintain the high service and innovation level of BYK Additives to its customers in light of increasing costs including raw material, transportation, energy, and regulatory costs. As a long-term partner for its customers, BYK continues to invest in sites, capabilities, and services to secure leading support globally.
BYK is one of the world’s leading suppliers in the field of additives and measuring instruments. Additives are chemical substances which, when used in small quantities, improve product properties such as scratch resistance or surface gloss. Manufacturing processes are also optimized by the addition of additives.
The coatings, inks, and plastics industries are among the main consumers of BYK additives. Yet with the production of oil and gas, the manufacture of care products, the production of adhesives and sealants, and construction chemistry, too, BYK additives improve the product characteristics and production processes.
