CLAYTONE rheology additives from BYK are organically modified, natural phyllosilicates for universal usage in solvent-borne and in solvent-free systems. They provide a thixtropic flow behavior and significantly improve the anti-settling properties, the storage stability, and the sag resistance. CL...AYTONE additives are mainly effective in the low and mid shear range.There are different types available to match the polarity of systems to which they are added. CLAYTONE rheology additives can be used in all solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings, construction formulations, adhesives and sealants, printing inks, thermosets, lubricants, and household, institutional, and industrial cleaners.
