CERAFLOUR is the main brand for BYK's micronized wax additives and micronized wax-like polymers. Wax additives have many areas of application. They can be used, for example, to control the processability of products or to improve the properties of surfaces. Waxes can be of a natural, semisynthetic ...or synthetic origin. The fundamental properties are derived from the chemical basis, the melting point and the polarity of a wax. Modifications and the subsequent manufacturing methods also influence the end properties. Micronized wax additives are products in powder form with an average particle size between 4 μm and 15 μm. Special types for creating textured surfaces can have particle sizes up to 90 μm.
